From here to there, with(out) a plan: how I AI’d my way into a startup

More details
In August 2025 I moved my family to Spain. A great relocation consultant found us a home, but there was no shared place where she and we could see the whole move. Add a decade of implementing CRM systems, and 1 + 1 came out as Plarelo: one shared plan for the consultant and the family moving.
This talk follows the route from idea to product: from no-code to Firebase Studio, then to Claude Code on Supabase and Vercel. Along the way: 26 commits titled “Try fixing this error…”, 183 pull requests, a bug that turned out to be DNS, and a few weeks in Google’s doghouse after I wandered from B2B into B2C content. Exhibit A will be shown.
It’s also about what AI doesn’t do for you. Building got fast. Talking to customers, reading the data, branding, and staying focused did not. I’ll share what I’ve learned so far, where I’m stuck, and the questions I’d love your help with.
